This weeks happenings

Monday-
I went to class. It was interesting because I got up thinking about the topic without even knowing it. I had a weird dream about fighting with my roomies, then I go to class and what are we talking about? Conflict! Weird.
I also got my yearly flu shot! Yay! Now I won't get the flu from all those sick people I care for.
I also received my grade from the test that I had difficulty concentrating for. It was a nice solid B! Go me!
If this day couldn't get any busier I went to the post office to mail my mom a package and stopped by the hospital's small library. I picked up some books to help me study for the HESI (a exit exam we student nurses have to take and pass in order to graduate. It is kinda like the state board exam).

Tuesday-
I will go to a review session for the HESI. You have to make a certain score each time you take it in order to pass. I was 5 points away from passing! It is frustrating, but I know that I can make it. Actually, I am kind of glad I didn't pass because the review sessions get me out of clinical for a week and credits those hours to my total hours that are required! Sweet!
I will run down to Target to use my $10 gift card that the school gave me to purchase the Twilight CD!! I could buy it on itunes, but this is an important CD to me, so I want the hard copy. I will also do this for Taylor Swift's CD which comes out Nov. 11!!
I think I might also get the movie "Get Smart". I looked hilarious in the previews and I love Anne Hathaway!

Wednesday & Thursday-
Review sessions for the HESI. Again. Yep, three solid days of review. I think that it could only help me though. Most of my friends will be in there too, so it should be okay. Also, one of my favorite teachers will be lecturing us.

Friday-
I get to dress up nice and head over to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for a lecture about pediatrics. I am totally excited about this! This lecture is a series that the school puts on twice a year. I have been to three so far and they are usually very boring, except for the ones about pediatrics.
Then I have to go to my dentist appointment. Eek! I am scared and nervous about this appointment. I am not a fan of dentists at all. I have had one bad experience and that tainted me for the rest of my life. That's usually how it is though. I hope and pray that this visit won't be too painful. I have pretty severe TMJ disorder, which makes it very difficult to have my mouth open for long periods of time. But, this dentist is a specialist in people who have TMJ and my Physical Therapist recommended him. I have full faith in the PT, so I made an appointment to go get my teeth cleaned. I do think I need a few fillings (it's been a while since my last visit), but that will have to be saved for another day.

That is an over view of my week. I will update at the end of the week to evaluate it (sorry, that's a nursing process thing...first you assess, then implement, then evaluate).
